Hook
Out for themselves, they have no dignity. They'll use you up without having sympathy. They own your work. They own your creativity. Sour like a bad note that doesn't fit the key. Instead of making noise this music is our symphony. We're given our task. We have responsibility. This is the anti-music industry. This is the anti-music industry.

Verse 1
It's a bond unto your soul it doesn't care if it will use you up. First the money and fame, but in time you're out of luck. How deep in the mud can you go until you get stuck? How long can you stand out in the storm before you get struck? It's an industry that is built around greed. They are selling dreams. You won't like where it leads. Promises can't be kept, so there's no guarantee. Rappers do get dropped and they are falling like leaves. Capitalizing. Criticizing every single move. They have you compromising although you disapprove. Advertising an image that you may not approve. Now trying to get out of that deal and get removed. The only bars they love are like the ones on a cell. They imprison you like you are in jail. They'll control you. They're used to doing it well. Driven by the mainstream and doing what sells.

Verse 2
Thank God, I'm independent. I can use the first amendment. Free speech, I present it. I say and defend it. Write the words and print it just the way that I intend it. Under the weight of the world, time to transcend it. Shining through the darkness and rising above jealousy. Preach the message of the cross. That is my specialty. Writing lyrics to a beat. That is my therapy. Yes I know the struggle, but I do it successfully. There are things in life I don't understand, but I give it all to the one in command. Don't be a slave to the system, but be a man. Part of doing that is to take a stand. Watch the industry. They will ruin you knowingly. It's not a secret. Let's speak of it openly. It doesn't want you to be who you supposed to be. This is R.A.P. It's rhythm and poetry.
